With much awaited anticipation, he has arrived. Introducing James Jackson Lee Burns! Coming in at 8 lbs 3 oz and 21 and a half in long (which I saw the nurse measure him and he was a solid 22 in!!). He wasn't due until December 10th, but at our Dr.s appointment on the 2nd, Dr Weber said it was time! He said to grab a bag and be at the hospital in about an hour. So we took Macie to Emillies And Sissy to Missy's and made 1 more stop at home.
When we finally arrived at the hospital 2 and a half hours later, (we had just beaten the Dr there) we were ready to have a baby!! So they started filling Mommy with needles and fluids and what not,all the while she's steadily dialating. About 2:30 the epideral people came and Daddy Left!! I didn't want any part of that! But luckily, they didnt allow me in the room during that anyway!! Dr came in and broke the water at about 3:00 and.... Nuthin!! So we waited, and since Megan couldn't feel her contractions (or anything else for that matter!) we didnt know when it was gonna happen!! About 4:50, I was nestled up to the warm glow of the monitors and noticed the contractions were getting closer together and asked Megan if we should call the nurse. A few minutes before 5:00 (as I tried repeatedly to get my sister Angela off the phone so I could have baby!!) Dr Weber came in and started setting up and at 5:04 Clarion North Hospital time, James Jackson Lee Burns , was born!!
But aside from the technicalities, he has 10 fingers and 10 toes, a good heart, hearing, blood sugar and a good jaundice level. And did mention, very cute?! Well he is! He took right to nursing and at day 5 he has even worked himself into a lil schedule! Mommy's gettin decent sleep a couple hours at a time, and baby Buster is sleepin, eatin, peein and poopin like a natural!! Needless to say, I think we're both pretty proud of him.
Anyway, first Dr.'s appointment is tomorrow December 8th, so we will see what his weight and length will be!!
